Torque: N·m (kgf·m, lbf·ft)

1. Hoses - Disconnect


2. Turbocharger Bypass Control Solenoid Valve - Remove


3. All Removed Parts - Install

1.
Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.

1. Turbocharger Bypass Control Solenoid Valve - Bypass Air Line Open Stuck Check


1.
Disconnect the hoses (A).

2.
Connect the vacuum pump to the turbocharger bypass control solenoid valve (B) as shown.

3.
Apply vacuum to the port.

If it holds vacuum, release the vacuum, then go to step 2.
If it does not hold vacuum, replace the turbocharger bypass control solenoid valve.

3. Turbocharger Bypass Control Solenoid Valve - Bypass Air Line Closed Stuck Check

1.
Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

2.
Select TURBOCHARGER BYPASS CONTROL SOLENOID VALVE ON in the INSPECTION MENU with the HDS.

3.
Reapply vacuum to the port.

If it holds vacuum, replace the turbocharger bypass control solenoid valve.
If it does not hold vacuum, release the vacuum, and turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode, then go to step 4.

4. Turbocharger Bypass Control Solenoid Valve - Vacuum Line Closed Stuck Check


1.
Connect the vacuum pump to the turbocharger bypass control solenoid valve (A) as shown.

2.
Apply vacuum to the port.

If it does not hold vacuum, release the vacuum, then go to step 5.
If it holds vacuum, replace the turbocharger bypass control solenoid valve.

5. Turbocharger Bypass Control Solenoid Valve - Vacuum Line Open Stuck Check

1.
Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

2.
Select TURBOCHARGER BYPASS CONTROL SOLENOID VALVE ON in the INSPECTION MENU with the HDS.

3.
Reapply vacuum to the port.

If it does not hold vacuum, replace the turbocharger bypass control solenoid valve.
If it holds vacuum, the turbocharger bypass control solenoid valve is OK. Check the vacuum hose between the turbocharger bypass control solenoid valve, the intake manifold, turbocharger bypass valve, and the turbocharger joint.
