Keyless Access System Registration

NOTE: If you replace the body control module or the steering lock, the vehicle will not turn to the ON mode. Follow the registration procedure of the corresponding unit.

1. Keyless Access System - Register

NOTE:
Check for aftermarket electrical equipment that could cause problems with keyless access operation.
While doing the registration, keep the remote away from computers.
While doing the registration, make sure the doors are closed.
Programming the remote also programs the keyless transmitter.
The body control module can store codes up to 6 remotes.


When Replacing the Body Control Module or the Electric Steering Lock Control Unit

Do the registration according to the ''Immobilizer Setup Tool'' screen.

After registration, verify all remote related systems work normally with all remotes.


When Replacing the PCM, the VSA Modulator-Control Unit, or Registration of the Remote(s)

NOTE: If the body control module was replaced, register the body control module first.

When all remotes are lost, select ''Immobilizer Setup Tool'', and turn the vehicle to ON mode according to the instructions on the HDS screen, then go to step 5.

Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

Select ''Immobilizer Setup Tool''.

Select the appropriate items, and do the registration according to the instructions on the HDS screen.

6.
After registration, verify systems work normally with all remotes. If the PCM is replaced, do the procedure after replacing PCM.
