How to Read Deployed History
How to Read Deployed History
NOTE: Due to the amount of electrical current that flows within the SRS unit to deploy airbags and tensioners, the SRS unit will be severely damaged and will require replacement. Therefore, the SRS unit retains a history that indicate which airbags and tensioners that deployed in a collision. Airbags and tensioners that deployed cannot be reused and must be replaced.

1.
Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode, then wait for 10 seconds.

2.

In the SRS MENU of the HDS, select SRS, then select Data List.

NOTE:
The table below is an example of the data list and may not match the operation of the airbag(s) and tensioner of the vehicle you are working on.
?
A value of ON with a unit of RED indicates that the airbag(s) and or tensioner has deployed.
?
A value of OFF with a unit of GREEN indicates that the airbag(s) or tensioner did not deploy.
