DTC C1040-00: Wheel Speed Signal Error
NOTE:
This DTC is recorded when the estimated yaw rate calculated based on the wheel speeds of the right and left wheels differs between the front and rear wheels.
The specific conditions under which this DTC are as follows:

Abnormal tire diameter (low tire pressure, uneven wear, etc.)
?
Driving on a road having different road conditions on the right and left sides

If this DTC is recorded, the integrated driver support system temporarily cancels its control to prevent the system from selecting an incorrect leading vehicle.
When the difference in the estimated yaw rate between the front and rear wheels returns to normal, the integrated driver support system resumes its control.
The functions of the integrated driver support system that will be temporarily canceled when this DTC is recorded can be confirmed with the DTC troubleshooting index.

Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

Clear the DTC with the HDS.

Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

?4.
Test-drive the vehicle on a straight road at speeds 25 mph (40 km/h) or more for 10 minutes or more.

Check for DTCs with the HDS.
