Intake Manifold Removal and Installation

NOTE:

	Torque: N·m (kgf·m, lbf·ft)
	Replace

1.	Fuel Pressure - Relieve

2.	Air Cleaner - Remove

3.	Center Cowl Cover - Removal

4.	Under-Cowl Panel - Remove

5.	Throttle Body - Move

NOTE: Do not disconnect the water bypass hoses.

6.	Fuel Bracket - Remove

7.	Fuel Feed Hose (Fuel Rail Side) - Disconnect

8.	MAP Sensor - Remove

9.	Intake Manifold Bracket - Remove

10.	Intake Manifold - Remove

NOTE: Replace if cracked or if mating surface is damaged.

11.	All Removed Parts - Install

Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.

NOTE:

Tighten the bolts/nuts in three steps; tighten the bolts/nuts until the bolts/nuts sit on the intake manifold, tighten the bolts/nuts until the gasket is compressed, tighten the bolts/nuts to specified torque.

Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, but do not operate the starter. After the fuel pump runs for about 2 seconds, the fuel rail will be pressurized. Repeat this two or three times, then check for fuel leakage.

After installation, check that all tubes, hoses, and connectors are installed correctly.
