Multipurpose Camera Unit Removal and Installation

NOTE: Unless otherwise indicated, illustrations used in the procedure are for a model with automatic wiper.

1. Sensor Cover - Remove


NOTE: When removing the sensor cover, take care not to break the sensor cover base.

Remove the sensor cover lid (A).

2.
Remove the sensor cover (B).

2. Multipurpose Camera Unit - Remove


NOTE: Do not touch the lens part of the multipurpose camera unit.

Disconnect the connector (A).

2.
Pull back the multipurpose camera unit (B) to remove it while supporting the camera bracket rib (C) and the front part of the multipurpose camera unit by hand as shown in the figure.

5. Sensor Cover Base - Remove


NOTE:
If necessary, replace the sensor cover base (A).
When replacing the cover base, follow the installation procedure.

Remove the sensor cover base.

2.
Scrape off the adhesive from the windshield.

1. Sensor Cover Base - Install

Clean the windshield surface.

2.
Peel the adhesive backing on the sensor cover base (A), then apply the primer.

NOTE: Must use the primer G-200 of 3M or equivalent. Using other commercially available primers may prevent the sensor cover base from attaching properly.





3.
Align the sensor cover base (A) with the alignment marks (B), then install the sensor cover base.

4. Multipurpose Camera Unit - Install


1.
Install the multipurpose camera unit (B).

NOTE: Visually check that the tabs (C) on both sides of the multipurpose camera unit are inserted into between the camera bracket (D) and spring A.

2.
Connect the connector (E).

5. Sensor Cover - Install


1.
Install the sensor cover (A).

2.
Install the sensor cover lid (B).
