Windshield

1. Windshield Wiper Blade - Remove


1.
Lift the wiper arm(s) off the windshield, raising the driver's side first, then the passenger's side.

2.
Pull up the tab (A).

3.
Slide the windshield wiper blade assembly (B) off the windshield wiper arm (C).





4.
Find the blade holder labeled "SET" (A), and then pull back the wiper blade (B).





5.
Pull out the wiper blade (A) through the wiper blade replacing opening.





6.
If necessary, remove the end cap (A) by pressing tab (B).

NOTE:
When removing it, take care not to damage the rubber holder (C).

Rear Window

Windshield

1. Dust Seal - Install


2. Windshield Wiper Control Unit/Motor - Install


NOTE: Bolt threads are not provided on the new wiper motor. Install the wiper motor to the linkage as follows:

1.
Before installing the wiper motor, connect the wiper motor connector, and turn the wiper/washer switch ON to (LO) or (HI) position, then OFF to return the wiper motor shaft to the park position.

NOTE:
Do not use the windshield wiper/washer switch (AUTO) or (INT) position in this step.
Apply multipurpose grease to the moving parts.
Check the wiper motor operation.

2.
Set the motor onto the wiper linkage assembly, and using the provided new self-tapping bolts, tighten them until the bolt head comes in contact with the linkage.

NOTE:
Keep the bolts perfectly straight while bolting them in.
Do not use air tools and impact wrenches.

3.
Loosen the bolts, then retighten the bolts to the specified torque.

4.
Align the marks (A) on the link (B) and the wiper linkage assembly (C), and install the link.

3. Linkage Assembly - Install

NOTE: Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown.


5. Windshield Wiper Arm - Install


6. Windshield Wiper Blade - Install

1.
Install the end cap (A).






2.
Find the end of the blade holder labeled "SET" (A), and install the wiper starting with the tip that has no projection.

NOTE: The wiper end with the projection should not be installed first.

3.
Install the new windshield wiper blade (B).





4.
Install the windshield wiper blade assembly (A) on the windshield wiper arm (B).

Rear Window

1. Seal - Install


2. Rear Window Wiper Motor - Install

1.
Before reinstalling the rear window wiper arm, connect the rear window wiper motor connector, and turn the rear window wiper switch ON, then OFF to return the rear window wiper motor shaft to the park position.

NOTE:
Apply multipurpose grease to the moving parts.
Check the rear window wiper motor operation.

Rear Window

1. Rear Window Wiper Motor - Test


1.
Test the rear window wiper motor by connecting 12 volt battery power to terminal No. 1 and ground to terminal No. 3 of the rear window wiper motor. The rear window wiper motor should run.

2.
Connect an analog ohmmeter to terminals No. 2 and No. 3. The ohmmeter should indicate continuity and no continuity alternately. If the rear window wiper motor does not run or fails to run smoothly, or there is no pulse, replace the rear window wiper motor.
