DTC Troubleshooting: P2583-92
DTC P2583-92: CMBS or FCW Over Working
NOTE:
This DTC is recorded when the CMBS is activated several times in a single vehicle ON mode cycle.
If this DTC is recorded, the CMBS function does not return to normal until the DTC is cleared with the HDS.
If this DTC is recorded, the following is suspected:
?
The millimeter wave radar is installed improperly and close-range obstacles are detected frequently.
?
The millimeter wave radar installing portion is deformed by a minor collision or strong impact.
?
The beam axis of the millimeter wave radar is out of alignment due to abnormal wheel alignment, abnormal tire pressure, etc.
?
The CMBS is activated several times in a row intentionally by the driver.

After inspecting, repairing, or adjusting a possible cause of the failure, be sure to perform millimeter wave radar aiming. If the DTC cannot be deleted after millimeter wave radar aiming, replace the millimeter wave radar.
The functions of the integrated driver support system that will be temporarily canceled when this DTC is recorded can be confirmed with the DTC troubleshooting index.

Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

Clear the DTC with the HDS.

Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

?4.
Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, then wait for at least 6 seconds.

?5.
Check for DTCs with the HDS.

The failure is duplicated. Go to step 2.
     
NO
     
     
     
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Refer to intermittent failures troubleshooting.?

Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

Check that the millimeter wave radar and radar bracket are installed properly and check them for deformation and damage.

Are the millimeter wave radar and the radar bracket installed properly, and/or is there any no damage?

Go to step 3.
     
NO
     
     
     
Repair or replace faulty parts, then aim the millimeter wave radar.?
