The MID does not display the audio-navigation unit information
NOTE:
Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.

Problem verification:

Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

Select Audio, Navigation, and HFL from the multi-information display (MID) menu screen.

Are audio, navigation, and HFL information displayed?

     
YES
     
     
     
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.?
     
NO
     
     
     
The failure is duplicated, go to step 2.
2.
Shorted wire check (LVDS2? line, LVDS2? line):

Shorted wire check (LVDS2? line, LVDS2? line)
?1.
Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

?2.
Disconnect the following connectors.
Audio-navigation unit connector J (3P)
Gauge control module connector C (3P)

?3.
Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition
Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
 
Audio-navigation unit connector J (3P): disconnected
 
Gauge control module connector C (3P): disconnected
Test point 1
Test point 2
Body ground

Test point 1
Test point 2
Body ground

Is there continuity?

     
YES
     
     
     
There is a short to body ground in the wire. Replace the affected shielded harness.?
     
NO
     
     
     
The LVDS2? and the LVDS2? wires are not shorted to ground. Go to step 3.

Shorted wire check (LVDS2? line to LVDS2? line):

Shorted wire check (LVDS2? line to LVDS2? line)

Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition
Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
 
Audio-navigation unit connector J (3P): disconnected
 
Gauge control module connector C (3P): disconnected
Test point 1
Test point 2

Is there continuity?

     
YES
     
     
     
There is a short in the wires. Replace the affected shielded harness.?
     
NO
     
     
     
The LVDS2? wire and the LVDS2? wire are not shorted. Go to step 4.

Shorted wire check (LVDS2 SH line to another lines):

Shorted wire check (LVDS2 SH line to another lines)

Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition
Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
 
Audio-navigation unit connector J (3P): disconnected
 
Gauge control module connector C (3P): disconnected
Test point 1
Test point 2


Is there continuity?

     
YES
     
     
     
There is a short in the wires. Replace the affected shielded harness.?
     
NO
     
     
     
The LVDS2 SH wire is not shorted. Go to step 5.
5.
Open wire check (LVDS2? line, LVDS2? line):

Open wire check (LVDS2? line, LVDS2? line)
?1.
Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition
Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
 
Audio-navigation unit connector J (3P): disconnected
 
Gauge control module connector C (3P): disconnected
Test point 1
Test point 2


Is there continuity?

     
YES
     
     
     
The LVDS2? and the LVDS2? wires are OK. Go to step 6.
     
NO
     
     
     
There is an open in the wire(s). Replace the affected shielded harness.?

Audio-navigation unit check (substitution):

Reconnect all the connectors, and recheck.

Does the symptom go away?
