Front Passenger's Seat Rail Removal and Installation

NOTE:
SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations and the precautions and procedures before doing repairs or service.

4. Front Passenger's Seat Rail - Remove (Power Seat)


1.
Remove the slide motor cover (A).

2.
Disconnect the connectors (B), and remove the harness clips (C).





3.
Remove the nuts (A, B) and the washers (C), and then remove the front passenger's seat rail (D), the bushings (E, F), and the collars (G, H).

5. All Removed Parts - Install


1.
Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.

NOTE:
The bushings and collars can be identified by their color. Make sure to install the bushings and collars as shown.
Tighten the nuts (A, B) in the numbered sequence shown.

6. Seat Operation - Confirm

Move the front seat and the seat-back through their full ranges of movement, making sure the harness is not pinched or interfering with other parts.

9. SRS Operation - Confirm

1.
Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and check that the SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and then goes off.
